I have been looking forward to find the time for this tasty post. Living most of my years in Greece, I learned to love and always choose mediterranean food, because traditional is always a nice and safe choice. What impressed me most was that Tarshish managed the marriage of the traditional sentiments with modern aesthetics. Tarshish is a huge venue for lunch/dinner having on the second floor a retractable roof which is really great for sunny day - you won't feel like leaving the place. Located in Wood Green High Rd, this Turkish and Meditteranean Grill Restaurant really worths the visit when in London.
Ready to start? What should you order first thing? Cocktail is always a good idea.Admittedly, I’m not the world’s foremost authority when it comes to cocktails. I'll find the one that would be the most weird/different or never tried before. Fortunately I could checked more than mine cocktail, as my friends decided to go with the cocktail option as well. I am not much of a drinker but to be honest I tried most of them. I can't really make my mind on which one was my favourite but for sure I loved the Kiwi Pleasure and Russian Red Spring (the last one matched perfectly with my outfit so you can imagine how excited I was)
Ready for lunch? I bet you are. Well as many London foodies will have noticed, the 'small is big' trend has very much made a mark on this city, so we started with lost of starters. Sometimes it's not about how hungry you are rather than just want to have the option to try everything. We had hot and cold starters - all of them dissapeared in minutes. Ok maybe sometimes it's about how hungry you are as well. All of them absolutely tasty. I won't deny the best part was the main course. Guys, if you haven't try this you don't know what you miss. I ordered the Wagyu Rib-eye steak . What was that Wagyu thing? It seems that Wagyu is a Japanese cow derives from a special breed of cattle and is highly desirable due to the meats intense marbling and high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat. Wow right? Moreover was served with mashed potato , cherry tomatoes and creamy mushroom sauce, matched perfectly together. Let the photo speak it's self.
If you feel like you are not impressed yet - which I doubt it - wait for it.
Nothing. Nothing can come up between me and dessert. What I am always trying to do is no regret , I don't want to look back and think ' I could've eaten that' . You can try this, ends happily ever after. Being a chocolate lover is not possible for me to choose anything else than chocolate. But when I heard about the 'burning' creme brûlée break into the caramelised top to discover a smooth rich custard inside. I knew I have to leave chocolate for the next time - most difficult decision ever made. Take a look at this.
